MA in Classical String Performance: study places, scholarships.

The MA programme in Classical String Performance at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance, University of Limerick is led by Principal players of the Irish Chamber Orchestra (ICO). Students receive individual tuition, chamber coaching, orchestral training & mentorship, and perform in chamber ensembles with ICO Principals.

Study places, especially for cello, and other string instruments are still available. Scholarships are on offer in order of application.

This two-year full-time programme's unique focus is on developing embodied, integrated musicians, equipped to thrive in the modern professional environment. Students receive weekly 90-minute individual lessons, Chamber Music, technique- and performance skills classes, & intensive classes e.g. in Dalcroze, Baroque, New Music, Improvisation, Body Mapping, and automatically qualify for ICO Academy projects.
