INTERNATIONAL CONDUCTING ACADEMY BERLIN led by Profs Harry Curtis & Steven Sloane offers 3 high podium-time courses of study:
- Advanced Professional Training for Conductors (APT): unique 1-year course for conductors already beyond the master's level or with conducting experience seeking to refine their skills
- MMus: 2 yrs (conducting bachelor not required)
- BMus: 4 yrs
(all courses can be studied as non-pianist)
Courses include:
- conducting once every 1-2 weeks of numerous professional orchestras, the UdK Studio Orchestra and at opera houses such as Komische Oper Berlin
- individual, group lessons & video analysis
- work with sound engineers, composers, opera singers
- personal mentoring and career guidance
- for Bmus & Mmus: courses in singing, piano, repetiteuring, score reading, & orchestral organisation
Fees: BMus & MMus: tuition free; APT: 2500€/semester
