INTERNATIONAL COMPOSITION COMPETITION
DEADLINE for scores: February 1, 2025
The Sound Ensemble is announcing a call for scores competition for young composers in two age categories:
1. Young Adult: Composers between 19-26 years old
2. High School: Composers between 14-18 years old.
One score from each category will be selected for performance on our Spring 2025 concert series*. Exact dates are To Be Determined (TBD) and subject to change. Finalists will be notified by March 1, 2025. Those finalists will need to submit parts by April 1, 2025.
AWARD: The winner in each category will be awarded $500, as well as a performance and recording of their work by The Sound Ensemble.
TIMELINE
There is no application fee
Deadline for submission of materials: February 1, 2025
Finalists notified by March 1, 2025
Finalists must submit pdfs of parts by April 1, 2025
