Halle Choral Administrator

We are seeking to appoint a Choral Administrator to join our Hallé Connect Team. The Choral Administrator reports to the Ensembles Manager and is responsible for the management and day to day administration of the Hallé Choir, Choral Academy and Sing with the Hallé day.
The Hallé Choir is an auditioned symphony chorus of 200+ voluntary adult singers, which performs with the Hallé and on its own. The Choir has its own Committee which represents the membership and fulfils some administrative responsibilities.
The Hallé Choral Academy is a project-based choral learning experience for adults. Over approximately four project blocks per year, the Academy explores different pieces from the choral repertoire.
Sing with the Hallé day is an annual inspirational day of singing in the Bridgewater Hall, open to all singers wishing to explore a piece of choral music from scratch in one day.
This role requires an efficient, approachable and diplomatic personality able to work effectively with people from many different walks of life. They will work in collaboration with the Choral Director, Academy Director, Choir Committee, Ensembles artistic and administrative teams and all other Hallé departments.
The Ensembles Team sits within the Hallé Connect team. Hallé Connect covers all of the Hallé’s work away from the formal concert platform, working across the whole community from schools to care homes, nurturing young talent and bringing music in its broadest terms to those who may not attend the concert hall.
The post is part-time (40%) permanent based on a 36.25-hour full-time week. Our core office hours are 09.00-17:15, Mon to Fri but the post will
require a degree of flexibility to working unusual hours to facilitate activities, including weekly rehearsals on Wednesday evenings and some evening / weekend work. There is an option to work up to 50% of hours from home.
