Coriolan, Egmont and Fidelio Overtures
Under the leadership of ICA Artistic Director Jonathan Mann, participants will spend time discussing the score in detail, listening critically from the conductor’s perspective to a selection of recordings and working through the medium of conducting in silence, a unique aspect of the ICA teaching philosophy.
Over six months we have also carefully integrated additional guest sessions on the following topics focusing on additional skills crucial for every conductor:
- Aural Training & Musicianship Skills with Irina Walters
- 'Beyond the Baton' with Chris Clark
Commanding the Stage: Confidence On and Off the Podium
The Conductor’s Voice: Guiding Musicians with Clarity and Purpose
From Score to Story: Engaging Pre-Concert Talks
