Khachaturian International Competition in Conducting is now open for applications!
The Competition is held annually in Yerevan, Armenia, and aims to reveal young talented musicians in four disciplines: piano, violin, cello, and conducting.
In 2025, the competition will be held in the Conducting category.
The Khachaturian International Competition was established on June 6, 2003, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of renowned Armenian composer Aram Khachaturian. Organized by the “Aram Khachaturian” Cultural Foundation in collaboration with the Republic of Armenia’s Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport, the competition continues to celebrate and promote young musical talent. The Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, led by its Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Sergey Smbatyan, is the official orchestra of the competition.
Submission deadline: March 20, 2025.
There is no application fee.
