Director of Artistic Planning for Trondheim Symphony Orchestra & Opera

TSO seeks a visionary and strategic thinker for the newly established position of Director of Artistic Planning. You will be responsible for long-term artistic planning and development of orchestral, operatic, and vocal activities in line with TSO’s overall strategies and financial frameworks. The position involves financial responsibility for productions and close collaboration with the administration and artistic bodies. You will contribute to developing major productions, tours, international collaborations, and enhancing external funding. The role requires coordination of programming, technical production, and marketing activities. You report to the Director, join the Management Team, and participate in Board meetings. Some travel is required. The workplace is in Trondheim.

Qualifications:

Solid musical background and artistic expertise.
Up-to-date knowledge of orchestral and operatic fields.
National and international network.
Strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
Ability to communicate and inspire internally.
Collaboration skills with internal resources.
Proficiency in computer skills, including Office software.
Experience in financial and resource management.
