Disability Advisor (part-time)

£41,769 - £48,932 p/year
The Academy has already successfully established disability support in line with the Equality Act (2010). The Disability Advisor plays a key role in co-ordinating all aspects of disability equality at the Academy, ranging from policy development, practical support and measuring impact assessment, ensuring that the Academy continues to remain compliant with the Equality Act (2010) and associated legislation, whilst maintaining an inclusive environment for disabled students, staff and visitors.

You will act as the first point of contact for providing advice to students and staff affected by disability or learning differences and you will develop appropriate feedback mechanisms and impact assessment tools, training staff in their application, and maintaining oversight of the results and outcomes.

To be successful in this role you will have previous professional experience of supporting disability at Higher Education level along with a working knowledge of learning differences and how they affect learning outcomes preferably in the context of a musical conservatoire. You will also have excellent IT and organisational skills and knowledge of all relevant legislation and its application.
